[edit] First use of "fake news"?
Can anyone provide a source to confirm or deny that Norm MacDonald's line, "I'm Norm MacDonald, and now for the fake news," was the first use of that term to describe news satire? I did an extensive Google search, but can't come up with reliable sources for the first use, only that the line itself is associated with him. (First used Episode 20, No. 1 of SNL - see Weekend Update, September 24, 1994, unofficial transcript) Lawikitejana 09:21, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

have there been any articles written on the convention/running gag of putting satirical newspaper headings on newspapers in film and television? If not, perhaps something along those lines should be included in this article -Shaggorama 03:44, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

This article is Desperately lacking sources. Please get sources on this ASAP. Also, the See also section is getting out of hand, it would probably be better to have a "List of satirical news programs" or a category for them than having that list get so out of control --Lucid 01:52, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
