[edit] New Westminter Adanacs and Okeefes

I noted the Adanacs on the list of Mann Cup winners but don't know the history; are these the same as the Coquitlam Adanacs, just moved to the next town over? And in the case of the O'Keefes I got their name from the MVP list on the Bellies' own website, so I'm presuming (maybe incorrectly) that they were the same team, i.e. the Bellies, under a different name for a few years; don't know which years, if that's the case, so couldn't add it to the article.Skookum1 22:36, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Not sure about the OKeefes, but the Adanacs were originally based out of New West. At one point (WWII I think) the teams merged for a year or two as the "Salmonacs". I'll look for more info.wombatman 01:34, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

The New Westminster Adanacs were a separate club which operated from 1933-1941 and 1945-1950. There is no relation betweem them and the current Coquitlam Adanacs. The New Westminster Adanacs merged with the Salmonbellies prior to 1951 season and the new team was called the New Westminster Commandos. In 1952 the team was renamed the Salmonacs and stayed that way for two seasons before becoming the Royals in 1954. In 1955 the Salmonbellies name returned until 1959 when the club was sponsered by brewery Carling-O'Keefe. User:Davidjsc 12:47, 18 August 2007
