[edit] 1997

Although the 1997 competition was played for the President's Cup, I distinctly recall that it was more often referred to as "Second Grade" by the ARL for that season - the reasoning for the change being correct in the article (about Super League taking the "Reserve Grade" name), while keeping the name similar to "Reserve Grade" - before changing again to the "NSW First Division" in the merged competition in 1998.

The only major thing I can find online supporting this is this news article on the Parramatta Eels' site asking for members of Parramatta's successful 1997 Second Grade team (among other years and grades). Someone with better access to ARL/NSWRL archives could probably be able confirm this better than I could. -Spiky Sharkie [ talk ] 13:40, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for that Sharkie. The competition may have been referred to as "Second Grade" but the competition was officially known as President's Cup so I don't think the article needs to be changed. - User:CumberlandsAshes81 12:48, 13 July 2006

[edit] NSWRL Cup?

I've heard that this comp will be changing its name to the NSWRL Cup for the 2008 season, has anyone got any solid info? Bongomanrae (talk) 05:42, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

I'm going to go ahead and move this to New South Wales Cup. The draw has come out similarly named and even has a new logo. Check it out here: http://www.nswrl.com.au/files/statecup_draw_v1.pdf - Bongomanrae (talk) 08:02, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Westsmagpies.jpg

Image:Westsmagpies.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
