" an area that boasts more Swiss Americans per capita than any other place in the United States. Today one million Americans are of Swiss decent, whereas 20 years there was twice that many living in the United States."

Does NG have more Swiss per capita than New Switzerland in Illinois? Some-how, I cannot believe the claim tht the number of Swiss-descent residents in the US has halved in twenty years. If this isn't documented in the next week or so, I'll erase it. Kdammers 05:52, 17 September 2007
