Talk:New Economy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hey guys, who exactly coined the term "New Economy"? Thanks!
"New Rules for the New Economy" by Kevin Kelly might be relevant in this article? It was "important" and quoted by many in that era. Btw, this happened not only in the US, as the article states. --Kricke 5 aug, 2005.

Is it just me or does this article seem rather unprofessional and have a bias toward pessimism? -L.1011 November 4, 2005
[edit] some criticism deserves mention?
For some the concept of a "New Economy" is used to describe how some economic rules remain fast and situations that appear to defy them tend to end badly. Pre-Depression references to a permanently high plateau are an example of this -- M0llusk 00:39, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Balance and references problem
Amazingly, the article has no mention whatsoever of Kevin Kelly and the Wired digerati's influence on this concept. Also, the article is heavily skewed towards presenting a negative critique. Much of the article is poorly referenced (especially the technology section which apparently relies on someone's general vague recall) Bwithh 03:50, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
The first sentence is fuzzy. Too many prepositions. Also, if I knew what I were doing on wikipedia I'd be compelled to include a citation. This is really bad writing and needs improved....and important enough to get straight as there is currently somewhat of a terminology-struggle between various professions regarding "new economy" nomenclature. 71.61.80.237 11:20, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
