news2day[1] is an Irish children's television news programme, broadcast weekdays at 5pm on RTÉ Two. It is eight minutes long, and is similar in format to the BBC's Newsround.

The programme is presented by Stephen Carroll and Aisling Riordan[2]. The programme is aimed at children between the ages of seven and twelve, and is presented in a child-friendly manner, making it easy for children to understand and to gain an interest in the news.
