Newmains United Community F.C.

Newmains United Community Football Club are a Scottish football (soccer) club based in the village of Newmains, near Motherwell. They were formed in 1934 as Coltness United Football Club and play at Victoria Park. They currently compete in the West Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association and play in black strips (uniforms) with a green trim. Whilst playing as Coltness United club colours were white strips with a black trim. As Coltness United they folded on March 31, 2006, after years without success with their last trophy win coming in 1955. They reformed themselves as Newmains United Community F.C. in time for the 2006-07 season. After only one season, the club went into abeyance for the 2007-08 season. The club is being reformed for the 2008-09 season under a new committee and management team.
