New York State Route 910D is an unsigned reference route designation for Washington Avenue Extension, a superhighway extension of Washington Avenue in Albany, New York. The road commences at NY 155/CR 157 (Karner Road), ends at CR 156 (Fuller Road) in Albany, and continues eastward as Washington Avenue.
The westernmost portion of Washington Avenue Extension parallels I-90/Thruway west of exit 24. It borders on a segment of the Pine Bush Preserve. Along both sides are named Frontage Roads, the north ending prior to Rapp Road, and the South ending just short of Crossgates Mall.
While the speed limit is 55 mph until the final 0.5 mile stretch approaching Fuller Road, the route is controlled by traffic signals at every intersection, save the interchange for Crossgates Mall. At Crossgates, Washington Avenue Extension curves southward to avoid conflict with Exit 1 of I-90 and the Northway, curving northward afterward to resume it original course, as the speed limit drops to 45 mph.
After Fuller Road, Washington Avenue continues, parallel to I-90 (not the Thruway), accessing several businesses, I-90 at several occasions, University at Albany uptown campus, the Averill Harriman State Offices Complex, and NY 85 (the Slingerlands By-Pass), before becoming a surface street after the Harriman Campus.
