New Technology Institute

The New Technology Institute (nti abbreviated to lower case letters) is a building located in the Learning and Leisure Zone of the Eastside of Birmingham, England. It was the result of a collaboration between the UCE Technology Innovation Centre (TIC), Aston University, University of Birmingham and West Midlands further education colleges.
It opened in January 2006 after one year of construction by the University of Central England. The building cost £10 million and the topping out ceremony was held on July 20, 2005.
The five-story building is a purpose built training venue for business and management training skills, IT training using Apple Mac computers, seminars, meetings, video conferences, product launches and networking events.
Events held at the building include the "Five days of Apple" which is an event to teach visitors about different sectors of computing and electronics industry in the form of seminars. The first event was so successful that a second instalment is to be planned.
