The New Mexico Wildcats are a professional indoor football team that will begin play in the American Indoor Football Association in the 2008 season. The team is based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, with home games to be played at the Santa Ana Star Center (which is also home of the New Mexico Scorpions of the Central Hockey League).
On January 3, 2008, the team announced their name.
Floyd Johnson has been named the Head Coach of the New Mexico Wildcats. Coach Johnson comes to the Wildcats with high recommendations and is prepared to develop a quality group of players into a championship caliber team within the immediate future.
