New Malden railway station is in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in South London. The station is served by South West Trains, and is in Travelcard Zone 4 on the borders of London and Surrey.

On Monday to Sundays there are 2 trains per hour in either direction. The service to London Waterloo calls at: Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Clapham Junction, Vauxhall and London Waterloo. The service to Hampton Court calls at: Berrylands, Surbiton, Thames Ditton and Hampton Court.

During the war, members of station staff were killed during an Air Raid. This is commemorated on a plaque on a wall in the ticket office.
