New Exhibition Hall (Turin)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
New Exhibition Hall is a pavilion designed by the Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas in the Italian city of Turin, in Italy.
It was originally thought in substitution of the former old pavilion, which hosted the clothes market, part of the biggest European open market in Europe in the district of Porta Palazzo.
Once built, the Municipality of Turin decided not to replace the clothes market in the building. The decision was taken, because the monumental scale of this work would have been more suitable as an exhibition hall.
More hypotheses were done (a “chocolate museum” included) but actually the building is still empty.
