[edit] Summary

Newton fractal generated by the polynomial z³-2z+2. Image area covering a square with side length 4 centered on 0. The corner pixels represent ±2±2i exactly. Pixels are colored according to the number of iterations it takes to get closer than 1e-3 either to a root or to 0. Produced with a throwaway C program and pnm2png.
