| Image title | 070919-N-5319A-005 Naval Station Anacostia Annex (19 September 2007)-Dress Kaki prototype is a throwback to the traditional WWII style it includes kaki jacket with shoulder boards for officers and four "patch pocket" look and a sewn-in belt as an accent. The kaki shirt is worn under the jacket. Both enlisted and officer will wear their rank insignia on the collars of the kaki shirt with a black tie when dressing up. Key point is flexibility. You can now wear your kaki working uniform without the jacket, then throw on a jacket and you're in a dress uniform. The jacket has the ribbons and insignia on it, so there is no need to shift them from the shirt to the jacket. Dress White prototype focuses on better fabric and fit rather than changing the look will not eliminate the dress whites. Whites most visible change is adding blue piping. The fabric is polyester that allows for improved ventilation and are washable with no dry-cleaning necessary.
