[edit] Notability guideline
It seems that NHOI may be in a catch 22 with this situation. They are an unsigned band, that have gained a large fanbase, and sold vast numbers of records, without the funding of a major label. However, because they are an unsigned, almost underground band, they will not get the exposure to the mainstream press that you would expect of a major label band. So there are no reliable sources to back the claims up. However, they should satisfy notability guidlines, as to sell the volume of records that they have, without major backing, is a notable feat in itself. Nouse4aname 16:01, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I agree with your view. Despite having major funding and touring extensively they still haven't reached mainstream notoriety. Perhaps, the article could be rewritten to incorporate the feat of selling over 100,000 units (To allow the page to stay under the notability guidelines). Or, perhaps it is recommended that the page be deleted because of the band's lack of any mainstream label support. Scarian 22:16, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
