"Never Done Nothing Like That Before" is a song by the Britpop band Supergrass. It was released as a single from their fourth album Life on Other Planets in July 2002. As it was a vinyl only release and only 2,500 copies were pressed, the single only reached #75 in the UK Singles Chart[1]. The version on the single is slightly longer than the version on the album, as there is a short introduction where Danny Goffey can be heard setting off fireworks.
The Children of the Monkey Basket website explains the song in further detail; "First release of the century and what a corker. We had the main riff for this kicking around for about five years and ended up recording it third for the new album [Life On Other Planets]. Nice touches include Dermot playing piano with a screwdriver, the Jackel on milk bottles and Danny setting the studio alight with fireworks as it was recorded on Guy Fawkes night."[2]
