Nevan (IPA English pronunciation: nævæn) was a minor saint in Irish folklore. It means holy, or little saint,or follower of the saint. In Gaelic it is pronounced as NAO-vahn. In English it is commonly pronounced as "Nevin," but should be pronounced as Neven/NEH-vahn.
