[edit] Notability

I expanded the article and removed the prod. The article has been around since 17:15, 9 August 2005, so I would prefer not to delete it. A company this size is almost certainly notable, but I can't find out much about it. --Eastmain 21:55, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

I agree that you would think that this company should be notable but, the references don't meet the requirement of WP:CORP#Primary_criterion and as we assume that if the company was a notable as the article would lead you to believe then meeting WP:V would not be a problem. I don't have any personal thoughts on the company it's self, but if the article can't get any more encyclopedic then this in a year and half, maybe it need to go through WP:AFD? It probably does get written about in insurance industry and real estate industry publications which don't put their full text on their web sites. I found a reference to the company being fined in Utah for being late renewing its registration. The company has such a generic name that I find information about other companies with the same name. I can verify that it exists, and the information from bizdays.com helps, but is rather vague. --Eastmain 00:29, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
I agree, that's why I was thinking of the AFD, hoping that will draw someone out to put good references on it. AFD tends to fix them or kill them, but sometimes with these borderline ones pass pretty much as this one is. On the other hand we could just leave it like it is and let some other editors later do something with it. It's a borderline encyclopedic stub, orphan, that is a over a year old. (PS I put the orphan and notability tags back on looks like they accidentally came off when you took the prod off) Jeepday 01:04, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
