NetWavz Radio' is an internet radio station based in Savannah, Georgia, USA that plays rock, alternative, metal, and indie music in rock-related genres. They have a full-service website located at www.netwavzradio.com. They also have take requests by use of zonkboard on the main page.
NetWavz Radio was founded in January 2005, and continues to be run by the original staff, and original founders. They hope, by mid 2008, to be able to upgrade to 128 bandwidth and by the start of 2009 add separate streamers by rock genres.
NetWavz Radio is also currently working with many different companies and people to becoming one of the showcased radio stations on the iTunes music program.

[edit] Online request system
At the opening of NetWavz Radio, they firmly believe in live DJs taking the listeners requests. A visitor can come to the NetWavz Radio website, type in a request on the zonkboard, and request any rock song. If for some reason this doesn't work, or you prefer a more traditional method, you can also e-mail or use MSN instant messenger to contact live DJs with your requests.
Other ways of contact, including for the purpose of requesting songs, can be done by Windows Live Messenger, email, and MySpace
[edit] Shows & Specials
NetWavz Radio has three self-produced radio shows aired every week.
The first is just simply a 2fer show, broadcasted from all day Tuesday. This is, of course, simply dubbed "2-fer Tuesday."
The second show, is the UK and American top 20 Countdowns, which is aired Thursday at 2am Eastern Standard Time.
The third show, aired every Sunday morning at 10am Eastern Standard Time, is the Luv Cure Show. Where the DJ Luv reads e-mails of listener with their love problems and offers sound advise then plays a rock love song to match. Live requests can be made on website during the show.
There are also many new shows in development at this time, including a morning show, lunch hour show, music industry countdown, new music hours, local music hours, and much more. NetWavz hopes for all these new shows to be on air by the end of the year in 2007, in addition to the already-airing shows.

Due to the high demand for mobile service by the public NetWavz Radio website, on September 25, 2007, NetWavz Radio made mobile service available. The details of the service can be found on NetWavz Radio Website here.
[edit] Future Goals
NetWavz Radio has many future goals for its radio station, and doesn't plan on stopping at just being an online-only music source. They plan on developing a "mobile only" website that is meant for use with cell phones, so that the station is accessible anywhere. Also, by 2012, they also plan, to the excitement of people in the Savannah, to become an over-the-air FM broadcast radio station. They look, like any radio station, to keep expanding their music library, work on bigger sponsorships and partnerships with bigger companies, and more.
