Nemocnice na kraji města

Nemocnice na kraji města (Hospital on the Edge of Town) is a popular television series first released in Czechoslovakia in 1977[1], it featured an ensemble cast and received much viewer praise in central Europe. The series ran from 1977 to 1981 for a total of twenty episodes.

The series followed the story of Dr. Sova and his colleagues at the hospital. The series is a drama and is based on a mix of the lives of the doctors and the patients.

"Nemocnice" featured a cast of actors, many who were very big stars at the time in Czechoslovakia. The cast included; Ladislav Chudík, Josef Abrhám, Milos Kopecký, Eliska Balzerová, Jana Štěpánková , Ladislav Frej and others.

A sequel series was developed in 2003[2] called "Nemocnice na kraji města po dvaceti letech" (Hospital on the Edge of town After Twenty Years), it was generally well received and starred most of the original cast.
