Nelsonophryne aequatorialis is a species of frog in the Microhylidae family. It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, intermittent freshwater marshes, arable land, pastureland, rural gardens, and heavily degraded former forest.
