Nelson Hardy

Nelson Hardy (1906-1993) was an Australian rugby league player who played 87 matches for the Eastern Suburbs club from(1925-30). Hardy was playing in the Eastern Suburbs first grade side at just 18 years of age.
An accomplished centre and fullback, Hardy played in three tests for Australia national rugby league team and was a fifteen time representative for New South Wales during his career.
He played out his career in England with the Warrington Wolves club.
Hardy's son's Kevin and Don played first grade for Eastern Suburbs while his grandson, Steve, was an Australian schoolboy rugby league representative who played for both the Cronulla and Eastern Suburbs clubs.
A glazier by trade Hardy was aged 86 at the time of his death in 1993.
