Nelson Burton (ice hockey)

Nelson Keith Burton (born November 6, 1957 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada) is a former National Hockey League left wing. He was selected by the Washington Capitals in the 4th round (#57 overall) of the 1977 NHL Entry Draft.

Burton played only 8 games in the NHL, spending the balance of his career in the minor leagues. He scored 1 career NHL goal.

He has been involved in Youth Hockey programs in Maryland, USA for many years. He is also the coach for the Maryland Terrapins Men's Hockey Team.
