Talk:Nederpop

I am looking for a female performer in Denmark named Kathrine, I am not aware of her last name, but she is supposedly very popular.
Thank you

This information appears to be incorrect as to the origin of the term "Nederpop". I have an record in a multi-album series
that I acquired in Holland about 20 years ago that is entitled "Nederpop 1965-1975" that was released on Polydor in 1975.
Almost all of the bands on the album are English-language bands.

Actually, De Kast does not sing in a local dialect, but in West Frysian, which is a fully recognised language instead of a dialect. However, it seems a bit overdoing it to place them under a header "Dutch (rock) bands singing in West Frysian", as they are just one of the few using this language in pop music. ziggy (talk) 22:46, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
