Ned R. Healy

Ned Romeyn Healy (August 9, 1905 - September 10, 1977) was a U.S. Representative from California.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Healy attended the public schools, Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Stock and bond salesman at Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1929 to 1932. He moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1932 and engaged in merchandising and office management. He served as director of the Hollywood office of the California State Relief Administration in 1939 and 1940. He served as member of the Los Angeles City Council in 1943 and 1944. He served as delegate to the Democratic State conventions in 1944, 1946, and 1948.

Healy was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-ninth Congress (January 3, 1945-January 3, 1947). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1946 to the Eightieth Congress and for election in 1948 to the Eighty-first Congress. Dealer in auto parts and accessories in Los Angeles from 1947 to 1969. He died in Long Beach, California, September 10, 1977. Cremated. Ashes scattered at sea off the coast of Long Beach, California.
