Nearly A Happy Ending was a television play written by Victoria Wood, and broadcast on ITV on 1st June 1980.[1]
It is a sequel to Wood's earlier play Talent, with the same lead character's, Julie (played by Julie Walters) and Maureen (Played by Wood).
According to Screenonline, the plot concerned "Maureen's ill-fated attempts to lose her virginity at a dismal salesmen's party in a Manchester hotel".[2]
It would be her last drama for ITV till Housewife, 49 in 2006.[3]
