Description: 050326-N-3614M-148 Pacific Ocean (Mar. 26, 2005) - Sonar Technician 1st Class Christopher Fromknecht fires a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun from the forecastle of the guided missile frigate USS Gary (FFG 51) during a weapons familiarization exercise. The shoot was organized as a way to familiarize Sailors with the proper firing techniques of the 12-gauge shotgun. Currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility, Gary demonstrates power projection and sea control as one of the USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) Carrier Strike Group's forward-deployed frigates, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
