Professional sport in the city of Chicago, Illinois.

Nate Just a FYI the sport of lacrosse is spelled with a lower case c. The city in Wisconsin is LaCrosse. Smith03 19:21, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

And adding nonsense edits where the content isn't more than a copy of the title is viewed as vandalism. I'd also suggest that you change the message on your user page. Thanks. - Lucky 6.9 18:47, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Minor edits

Hi, and welcome! I've noticed that you've marked a number of your edits as minor. However, according to the definition of minor edits, these edits were not minor. "Minor" does not mean "small". Please review the linked article before making further edits and use the checkbox appropriately.

I'd also like to point out that you might want to change your user page--it's very confrontational. Wikipedia has a long-standing policy of civility and encourages users to believe that others are acting in good faith. Please keep that in mind as you interact with other editors. Cheers. -- Merope Talk 18:24, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Las Vegas, Nevada

I deleted the 'Las Vegas Hotels, Casinos, and Resorts' section you added. None of these are in the city which is what this article is about. They are already listed in Category:Casinos in Las Vegas. 06:23, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD Nomination: Fairfield_Grand_Desert

An editor has nominated the article Fairfield_Grand_Desert for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fairfield_Grand_Desert. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Fairfield_Grand_Desert during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. [edit] Little context in Columbian Park Zoo

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Columbian Park Zoo, by Iknowyourider (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Columbian Park Zoo is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Columbian Park Zoo, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Columbian Park Zoo itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:59, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Chicago Griffins RFC (US)

A tag has been placed on Chicago Griffins RFC (US), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 08:04, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
