[edit] Derived from nature, Merge with Drug discovery page
Most of the section "Nature as source of drug compounds" is based on the idea that something can be naturally derived. Another term for "naturally derived" is "man made". Every drug is naturally derived as the chemicals for it have to come from somewhere and that somewhere is always nature. That's why, once a person intervenes something ceases to become natural and becomes man made A stone axe is man made as it requires human intervention but all the products (the stone, wood, etc) came from natural thefore it is also naturally derived.
This leads me to the suggestion that this article be merged with the drug discovery page. Since there is no logical destinction between naturally derived drug and any other drug, these articles should really fit on the same page.JamesStewart7 10:11, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
