Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (N.O.T.E.S.)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) is an emerging field of endoscopic surgery. As the name implies, surgery is performed using instruments via the mouth, vagina or anus.[1] It may be preferred over traditional surgery since incisions are made internally, thus reducing chance of infection, and leaves no externally visible scars.
