Nato wood

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nato wood, also known as Eastern Mahogany, but actually from Mora excelsa or Mora gonggrijpii trees, is a softer hardwood, used primarily on acoustic guitar necks. It can be compared to mahogany in terms of sound and appearance, but it is also commonly dubbed a "budget wood". Nato wood is used on relatively few guitars, notably the Fender CD140SCE.
