National Provincial Competition (Rugby league)

The National Provincial Competition (working title) is a six-team Rugby league competition due to begin in 2008. It will replace the now-defunct Bartercard Cup competition as the highest level of rugby league in New Zealand. ^[1]. Matches will be broadcast on Māori Television. The representative season starts on the weekend of August 23 and 24, with the final being held in Auckland in September.^[2]
