National Atmospheric Radar Laboratory (NARL)

(Formerly known as National MST Radar Facility — NMRF) is an autonomous organization under department of space, government of India
National atmospheric radar laboratory is research facility under the Department of Space Government of India, which involves itself in research concerning terrestrial atmosphere. This research focuses mostly into low latitudes for better understanding of climate and weather. The facility had out grown its initial focus of Middle Atmospheric Programme (MAP) to Mesosphere-Stratosphere-Troposphere (MST) (The various layers of atmosphere surrounding planet earth). This facility was registered as National MST Radar Facility (NMRF), an autonomous Scientific Society.
