Nathan Craze

Nathan Craze (born November 26, 1986 in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales is a professional ice hockey player in the British Elite Ice Hockey League. Played for theBelfast Giants he also played for the Cardiff Devils and the British National Under-20's. He plays Goaltender. He now lives with his Fiance Kerry Burton.

He had an impressive start with the Belfast Giants in the 2005-06 EIHL season, originally he was a replacement backup goaltender. After icing a few games he proved himself as one of the most promising young British goaltenders. In the same year he won Gold with the Great Britain U-20's in the World Championships Div II Group A in Bucharest, Romania, and was also named Netminder of the Tournament.

Best under-21 Player (Vic Batchelder Memorial Trophy) Nathan Craze, Belfast Giants The Welsh teenager played in only 12 games for Elite League champs, Belfast Giants, but he chalked up a save percentage of 92.8 and greatly impressed his coach, Ed Courtenay.

On his debut for Giants in October, shortly before his 19th birthday, he faced 132 shots in three games but conceded only eleven goals as Giants earned two wins and a draw. “Nathan was outstanding,” said Courtenay.

He was received the International Ice Hockey Federation Directorate’s Award of the tournament’s Best Netminder when GB won the gold medal in the 2004 World under-18 Championships (Div II),in Lithuania, and he equalled the feat by being voted the IIHF’s tournament Best Netminder when GB won the gold medal in the 2006 World under-20 Championships (Div II), in Romania.

Vic Batchelder was the editor for 18 years of the respected fortnightly magazine, Ice Hockey News Review. He died in 2001, aged 61.

Nathan Craze has signed as No1 Netminder for the Bracknell Bees English Premier League Team for the 2006-2007 season.

Bracknell Bees won the English Premier League title 2006-2007 season with Nathan Craze as their outstanding starting netminder.

Bracknell Bees also won the EPL Play-offs beating Guildford Flames in the final 3-2
