Natasha Barrett (television reporter)

Natasha Barrett (born in Houston, Texas) is an American television reporter. She is currently a reporter for Washington, D.C. station WJLA-TV. [1]

She is a first generation Croatian-American. Her mother is originally from Zagreb, Croatia. Her father is a retired decorated United States Army veteran from Mississippi.

She has also studied in London, England while attending American University in Washington. While in London, she worked for CNBC Europe.

Barrett has worked at two stations in Texas: KZTV[2] in Corpus Christi, followed by KCEN-TV in Waco [3]. She joined WVEC-TV in Norfolk, Virginia as an investigative reporter in 2003, then joined WJLA in 2006.

Barrett has received numerous awards for her work in journalism including a Virginia Associated Press award for Investigative Reporting and a Breaking News Award from the Texas Associated Press.[4]
