Personally, I am concerned by the use of your name "NASA," and apparent attempt, at the request of the subject, to remove any reference to Dr. Dannenberg's Nazi party membership and wartime career, even when historically accurate and well sourced. I do not believe that NASA has a policy of historical revisionism to remove evidence of wartime activities from historical sources, and I hope no-one assumes that you speak for NASA when making such changes which, in my opinion, are contrary to historical fact.

Hello NASA399 - I have been following your edits and conversation with Scientist-astro with interest. It sounds like you have very good intentions, and are correctly concerned with keeping Wikipedia neutral and sourced.

In this instance, however, I do believe that your edits have gone too far. By removing every single reference to the word 'Nazi,' it does read as if you are trying to cover up some of the more unsavory parts of the backgrounds of all of the former Peenemünde rocket engineers who came to Huntsville and did outstanding work for America's space program. It's historical fact, relevant and important to their careers that they were creating the V-2 for the Nazi's European combat efforts.

I assume that you are not someone who believes in covering up former Nazi misdeeds, and yet your edits could be construed as such.

And I assume you do not speak for NASA in any official capacity, and yet your user name might suggest as much to some.

I'm therefore going to recommend that, in the interests of keeping Wikipedia neutral, unbiased and historically accurate, you do add in at least one reference to the fact that Dannenberg's wartime work was at the behest of the Nazi party. To not do so is just as much of a bias as the ones you removed and intelligently defended your edits over. I look forward with interest to seeing the revised page, and do indeed hope that you are not a Nazi sympathizer, as that is not something that anyone here would like to see. Thank you.
