Nashoba Regional High School

Nashoba Regional High School (NRHS) is a high school (grades 9-12) that is part of the Nashoba Regional School District. It is located in Bolton, Massachusetts and also serves the towns of Lancaster and Stow. As of 2006, it has some 900 students. The school principal is Mr. Jeremy Roche, along with assistant pricipals Mrs. Tracy Calo and Mr. Brian Cote.

  • NRHS is home to a Concord Area Special Education (CASE) program of vocational education for students with substantial special needs (ages 15-22). It also offers the unique Nashoba Regional Cadet EMT Program, which allows high school students to train and serve as EMTs for Bolton, Massachusetts.
  • In 2007 NRHS added a new teacher to Nashoba's Department of Chemistry, Dr. Eli Cooperman Minkoff, as an AP/CP Chemistry professor. Minkoff is a notable biologist who in addition to teaching Biology at Bates College for 39 years and being the head of the Bates College Biology Department has published over 8 books on various scientific topics ranging from biology to vertebrate paleontology to animal anatomy. Some of his works include Biology Today, Evolutionary Biology, and Evolution of the Vertebrates.
  • The Nashoba Robotics Team, which participates in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition, came -in 15th place in the nation in the 06-07 season. In the 07-08, they failed miserably and didn't make it out to the final round at states. Cisco systems is a platinum sponsor of the Nashoba Robotics Team.
  • The school currently has eight teachers with doctorate degrees. Dr. Murphy for example graduated from the University of Tampa, and received his graduates degree from Bronx Community College.
  • Mrs. Bullock was previously the head of the math department at Nashoba Regional High School. She received multiple recognitions in her excellence in mathematics, sewing, and curling.
  • In 2008 Dr. Murphy, Renown second year physics teacher, broke the last Vanderbilt Generator in the country. Her personal comment, "It wasn't supposed to do that, oops"
