Nashestvie

Nashestvie (Russian: Нашествие, literally: "invasion") is the largest open-air festival of Russian rock music. It is held annually at the first weekend of August August somewhere in the environs of Moscow. Its chief rival is the annual Krylya Festival (literally, "Wings").

  • Nashestvie-2000: 19-20 August, Ramenskoe Hippodrome, Moscow Oblast; 60,000 visitors
  • Nashestvie-2001: 4-5 August, Ramenskoe Hippodrome, Moscow Oblast; 100,000 to 120,000 visitors
  • Nashestvie-2002: 10-11 August, Ramenskoe Hippodrome, Moscow Oblast; 180,000 visitors
  • Nashestvie-2003: cancelled amid protests of local inhabitants and terrorist attacks at the Krylya Festival in Moscow
  • Nashestvie-2004: 7-8 August, Emmaus, Tver Oblast; 50,000 visitors
  • Nashestvie-2005: 5-7 August, Emmaus, Tver Oblast; 53,000 visitors
  • Nashestvie-2006: 4-6 August, Sredizemny Mys near Ryazan; over 100,000 visitors
  • Nashestvie-2007: didn't take part because of the conflict between the founders and the Edinaya Rossiya party.
  • Nashestvie-2008: 4-6 July, Emmaus, Tver Oblast.
