Nashad
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shaukat Dehlavi was a music composer. He composed music for Hindi films in 1940s and 1950s, sometimes under names Nashad ('naashaad') or Shaukat Haidari. His memorable scores include Baradari.
He married singer Premlata. In early 1960s, he left India for Pakistan. He continued to compose music for films in Pakistan.
Because of the similarity in pronunciation in 'naashaad' and 'naushaad', sometimes his compositions tend to get misattributed to the more popular Naushad.
