The Nasan file system is operating system software, created by DataPlow, that facilitates high-speed file sharing among multiple client computers. This file system incorporates the simplified administration of network attached storage (NAS) with the high-bandwidth, scalable data transfer characteristics of storage area networks (SANs). The Nasan file system is ideal for read-intensive applications including enterprise serving, webserving, CAD, bioinformatics, digital media, scientific computing, imaging, graphic design, and datamining.
