Narail Sadar is located at 23.1750° N 89.5042° E . It has 44716 units of house hold and total area 381.76 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Narail Sadar has a population of 250725. Males constitute are 51% of the population, and females 49%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 130799. Narail Sadar has an average literacy rate of 36.4% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
