You might be interested in my Mfecane article, and given that there is a lot of German colonial history in this area (I am British) you might have some different sources. Regarding translating, I use the Google translator to do the 'heavy lifting', and I then fix up the grammar afterwards. Much easier than doing it all yourself, even if you are fluent in both languages (which I am not!). Wizzy 11:41, 15 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Napa, I translated the Bantu page, thanks, and put in a de: link :-) I struggled a bit with some of the words - in particular Hirtentum. What does it translate to ? Wizzy 09:40, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Lewis and Clark Map
Hello. I saw that you were asking about the Lewis and Clark Expedition map Image:Insmap.gif on User:AlexPlank's talk page. It is almost certainly a copyright violation. I've put a notice to that effect on Wikipedia:Copyright problems. -- Decumanus 00:34, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Interwiki
I just saw you crosslinking the German articles back to the English versions of some Native American tribes, among other articles. Thanks for doing that. It really helps the project. Cheers, -Willmcw 10:40, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
- No problem :-) --Napa 12:46, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Oh thank heavens...
...He has an en.wiki page! Sorry for massacring your language - I don't like to assume that the whole world speaks English, and you didn't have any language userboxes... Many thanks for your reply re Nguni. So do you mean, that Nguni is probably from an African word (as ZyXoas suggests), but that the application of the word to a wide group of people is a white innovation? Sounds very possible: I would still love to have sources if you find them in the future! Tchüss, JackyR 18:30, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
