Description
English: Napoléon en triomphateur (Napoleon as a triumphant victor). Lead. Commissionned by Vivant Denon for the Carrousel Arch of Triumph, the statue was refused by Napoleon I and brought back shortly after the inauguration in 1808.
Français : Napoléon en triomphateur par François-Frédéric Lemot (Français, 1772–1827). Plomb. Commandée par Vivant Denon pour l'Arc du Carrousel, la statue fut refusée par Napoléon Ier et descendue du monument peu de temps après son inauguration, en 1808.
