Naoko Hayashiba (林葉直子 Hayashiba Naoko?, born on January 24, 1968), who is also known by the pen name Masaru Katori (かとりまさる Katori Masaru?), is a female Japanese writer and manga author from Fukuoka, Fukuoka, Japan. She was a talented professional shogi player, but she quit Japan Shogi Association in some scandals in 1995, then has focused on activities as a writer and a TV personality. She is notable for the creation of two novel series, Dondemo Police and Kiss Dakeja Iya, and also as the author of a manga entitled Shion no Ō.
