Nagarpur is located at 24.0500° N 89.8750° E . It has 44858 units of house hold and total area 262.7 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Nagarpur has a population of 238422. Males constitute are 49.47% of the population, and females 50.53%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 121735. Nagarpur has an average literacy rate of 27.4% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
