A Couple’a Robots

A Couple’a Robots was formed in 1993 by Nathan Salter in Mr. MacDonald’s commtech class. Their earlier work was based on the Bach/Mozart classical orchestra styling, but later moved on to drum loops and synthesizers.

Their first commercial hit came with the song Capitol N, which was heavily influenced by such songs as Canon (Pachelbel), and Fur Elise. However, to some die-hard fan’s dismay, it was discovered later on that many of the instruments in the song were not performed by real musicians, but synthesized using computers and keyboards. This led to the fall of A Couple’a Robots for 2 years from the music world.

The Bad Years

During the 2 years that the band was not functioning, the 2 Robots sadly fell into a rut of drinking and dancing at Nightclubs. It is believed that during this time, their Synthetic use of beats and synthesizers was picked up. Nathan was not seen by the public during these years. However,
