I take it you wouldn't be interested in writing an article on the Neches River, would you?

-Ben

I know nothing of the river of which you speak. Actually, I did introduce Wikipedia to the Detroit River.

[edit] Main namespace cleanup

Heya, I've moved your article in the main namespace to User:N8chz/old, there's some meaningful edit history should you wish to keep it. --fvw* 03:47, 2004 Dec 13 (UTC)

Welcome!

We're all about promoting the abundance of information, although not necessarily about consumer transactions.  :-)

Why don't you write an article about the aforementioned grassroots activities? Sounds interesting. --LMS

I advocate abundance of information only to the extent to which the people the information pertains to are in favor of that. Surely my ethical standards in that area at least as high as those of vendors of supermarket loyalty card programs.  ;-)

Also, a lot of the information I advocate the abundance of is not about actual consumer transactions, although much of it is about making as detailed as ethically feasible maps of possible consumer transactions. I don't see such activities as a threat to privacy, at least not that of individuals. I of course invite arguments to the contrary.

I don't know whether grassroots activities, especially largely untested ones, are appropriate material for the wikipedia. However, I am also interested in viewpoints on any and all sides of that issue. --n8chz

[edit] Image Tagging

Thanks for uploading Image:Part.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Until a more informative tag is provided, it will be listed as {{no source}}. Could you add a better tag to let us know its copyright status? If you made the image yourself, an easy way to deal with this is add {{gfdl}} if you're willing to release it under the GFDL. Alternatively, you could release all rights to it by adding {{NoRightsReserved}}. This would allow anyone to do whatever they wish with your image, without exceptions. However, if it isn't your own image, you need to specify what free license it was distributed under. You can find a list of the tags here. If it was not distributed under a free license, but you claim fair use, add {{fairuse}}. If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images by posting to my talk page. If you do this, I can tag them for you. Thanks so much,. [edit] LSAL

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article LSAL, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. N8CHZ stands for "November Eight Charlie Hotel Zulu".

N8CHZ stands for open information in consumer transactions, having introduced the monicker "pubwan" for grassroots activities to promote the abundance of information.

N8CHZ introduced Wikipedia to Pells equation and the partition function.

N8CHZ is currently looking for a J.Ō.B. in the Detroit area.

N8CHZ wishes you all well.

It is probable that all the content that I can plausibly provide to the Wikipedia, was provided during the first year and a half or so of its existence. In short, I'm tapped out. For this reason, my current role in the Wikipedia community is as a lurker, or read-only netizen.

Someday I hope to become a server side netizen (see http://geocities.com/n8chz/PubwanWiki/ServerSideNetizen.html).

The following list represents subjects of interest to me that I wish I knew more about. It is a Wikipedia reading "to do list."

array processing, tail recursion, peer-to-peer networking, distributed database, nondominated sorted genetic algorithm
