The article Petri Gerdt has been merged here. A few comments were left on its talk page, Talk:Petri Gerdt, mainly concerning the merge. --Kizor 21:08, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Are bombings uncommon?

The final sentence, "The bombing was particularly shocking for Finland and the other Nordic countries, where bombings are extremely uncommon" might be partly incorrect. Obviously the incident was very shocking, but in my opinion bombings are not "extremely uncommon" at least in Finland. While this one was significantly more devastating, there were several bombings or attempted bombings in Finland during the previous decade. See, for example, [1]. Muad 13:52, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Classification as a "suicide bombing".

It is debatable as to whether Gerdt intended to kill himself as well as many others in the blast (Wikipedia defines suicide bombing by this intention), although it is undeniable that he died in the blast.

This poses two questions - should reference be made in the article to it as a suicide bombing (and thus should it be linked to Suicide Bombing), and secondly, how should reference be made to Gerdt's death in the blast within the article.
