Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- For Wikipedia policies and guidelines see The Five Pillars of Wikipedia and What Wikipedia is not.
- Find everything in the Directory.
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- Introduce yourself at the new user log.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
- If you have edits from before creating an account try this.
- To Upload Images with the correct Copyright tags.
- Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), this will automatically produce your name and the date.

[edit] Wikipedia Procrastination Club
It was created in the main article space rather than on meta.wikipedia.org as one of the many associations there. It qualified for speedy deletion as the organization is non-encyclopedic, non-noteworthy, etc. (By the way, please sign additions you make to talk pages, it makes it easier to reply. ;-) Daniel Quinlan 02:13, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DC Meetup notice
Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Virginia, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 22:08, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
