Talk:Myst Online: Uru Live (Ages)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article suffers from a mixture of organizational formats. It has both Episode sections and Journey sections. This state is both unorganized and confusing. I began this article as a way of organizing the data which had already been present on Ages of Uru and wish to make sure this article stays organized. I realize that this is a Wikipedia project and belongs to everyone, so I'm not trying to impose my personal view on how it should be organized, I'm simply trying to bring some order to it. I mention this simply so others may understand why I'm changing this, again. I do not wish to seem rude.

If others feel that this would be better organized by Journey, or alphabetically, or something else, I suggest we start a discussion here.

In addition, I suggest that we merge Ages of Uru into Myst Online: Uru Live (Ages) since they both cover the same scope, and this article now provides information of all of the areas talked about in Ages of Uru.

Though the phrase "D'ni Areas" is apt and can be used correctly it the manner that it is being used, the pharase can also imply that the areas listed underneath it are considered to be part of the D'ni civilization. While it is true most of these areas are said to be of D'ni construct, some (including The Cleft and the various Bahro caves) are not. Simply changing the section titles to "Age of D'ni Areas" avoids creating confusion for readers who are not familiar with URU. Furthermore, consistency in the titling of these sections makes the article more cohesive, and makes it feel less piecemeal.

[edit] New Ages

I think I just found a new age. There was this age with a small island in a sea with islands in the background and you could swim. So I swam to one of the islands (it took FOREVER) and the island was just a picture with a little platform behind it that you could get out of the water and walk on. It was like a stage background or something. Um, what? Anyone know what this age is called. Also. what are the ages found in the ferry terminal where there are four animal noises that you can activate and turn lights on into a world outside the window? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.36.89.42 (talk) 03:32, 26 November 2007

Please se WP:TALK: talk pages are not for general subject discussion, but purely for discussion of the article itself. TheIslander 11:05, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Nexus-Interface.jpg

Image:Nexus-Interface.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Ahnonay

I'm pretty sure (though with the server down i can't go in to check), that's it's Ahnonay Cathedral rather than Temple. See http://en.mystlore.com/wiki/Ahnonay Ged UK (talk) 21:35, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
